What kinds of activities are available?
A wide gamut of activities is scheduled based on the interest of our residents; i.e., entertainment, games, exercise, lunch out, Jacksonville Symphony Coffee Series, and spiritual opportunities. Each facility provides a calendar of scheduled activities so residents may easily choose events that are of interest.
May I bring my own furniture?
Yes. Apartment and assisted living settings are unfurnished so you may bring your cherished pieces. The nursing home, however, is furnished; but residents may bring pictures to hang and personalize the area.
May I bring a pet?
One small animal is acceptable in apartment settings. There is a pet deposit and community rules apply. Ask for specific details pertaining to the community of your choice.
What is an Assisted Living Facility?
It is a residential care facility that provides housing, meals, personal care and supportive services to persons who are unable to live independently. Unlike nursing homes, assisted living facilities do not provide 24 hour nursing care. Taylor Manor is private pay assisted living facility.
