A parade - what a great way to start the 4th of July festivities! Lakewood Presbyterian Preschool, 3-4 year olds, will bring us a colorful patriotic parade, fun songs, smiles, laughter and big hugs. Join us in Taylor Manor Social Hall July 1, at 10:30 a.m.

Taylor Home welcomes the Mendum boys on Thursday, July 1 at 10 a.m. in the Mackie Lounge for beautiful piano music. We have loved watching these boys grow into young men and you will love the talent they have to share!
Join us every day at 9 a.m. in the Taylor Home Mackie Lounge for Fitnessize. Work at your pace to inprove flexibility, balance and mobility. Oh, we do take Sunday off - our day of rest.

Our friends from Christian Volunteer Organization, CVO, will bring a Red, White and Blue Flag pendent craft to Taylor Manor Social Hall on Friday, July 2 at 2:30 p.m. After the crafts are complete, we will share in fellowship and fun with Jell-o Jiggles!

From the Fall Prevention Team at Taylor Care Center, comes the Geri-Dance! Physical activity is important to maintain our health. Staff and residents are invited for fitness fun on Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. On Friday at 10 a.m., we will celebrate with "Roll and Stroll" and enjoy the beautiful grounds on the Chester Avenue campus.

July 23 will be a busy day in Diane's Fun Place at Taylor Care Center! Lorna Greenwood will be here at 10 a.m. for an hour of toe-tappin', swingin' music. We will enjoy Banana Splits at 1:30 p.m. and then the Story-teller from The Church of Jacksonville will be with us at 2:30 p.m. Whew - no time for a nap today!
Taylor Manor is celebrating 22 years of excellence. It's a week of festive staff happenings both small and BIG in appreciation of our staff who care for us with respect for our privacy and dignity. The week of festivities culminates Friday, July 23 with our staff enjoying the annual multi-cultural luncheon followed by recognition and fun and games with prizes to be won!
The activity staff at Taylor Home organized the "Lunch Bunch" which brings dining-out, in. Friday, July 23, we will order from Taco Bell. Staff will serve the orders to participating residents in the Mervine Lounge. We do not have to go out in the heat of the day to enjoy a special meal - WOW!
Music with Gary returns to Taylor Home July 23 at 3 p.m. This popular entertainer will perform in the Mackie Lounge.
The residents of Taylor Care Center enjoy cruising around Jacksonville with no particular place to go - but, to enjoy the ride along the river or through a park. The ride always includes a stop for a cold drink or ice cream. There are two opportunities this month - July 21 and July 28 at 2 p.m.
The residents of Taylor Home are gathering monthly to remember time spent in service to our country. Join us July 26 at 3 p.m. in the Mervine Lounge as we share refreshments and reminisce. Our veterans have fascinating stories.
Saturday, July 24 at 2:30 p.m., the Social Hall at Taylor Manor will bring back the Summertime Senior Olympics! The college age young people at San Jose Church of Christ will host this fun event. Come out and team with a young person - win the gold!
The Strolling Violinist returns to Taylor Home Tuesday, July 27 at 10 a.m. The halls will be filled with beautiful music and we may even sing along.
The residents of Taylor Home LOVE ice cream! We have two socials in one week this month. Tuesday, July 27 at 2 p.m. we will gather in the Mervine Lounge and enjoy our favorite treat together.
Saturday, July 31, features the popular, monthly event with Dr. Gomez and friends in the Mervine Lounge at 3 p.m. Dr. Gomez creates a festive atmosphere with entertainment and lots of friends with whom to visit. And, it seems the ice cream containers never empty!
Springtime, joy-filled, musical swing-time invades Taylor Manor Social Hall Wednesday July 28 at 2:30 p.m. when The Singing Evangelists arrive. Come and join the fun!
Join Delores in the Taylor Home Hobby Shop Friday, July 30 at 2 p.m. as she cooks and we reminisce about things that happened in our kitchens long ago. The kitchen seems to be where we gather and Taylor Home is no exception - especially, when Delores creates a treat from a new recipe or a tried-and-true recipe. It's just fun!
Friday, July 30 at 4:30 p.m. brings Jamie Lee back to Taylor Manor and the baby grand in the Social Hall. We enjoy her musical fun before and after dinner!
Taylor Apartments residents will enjoy a bar-b-que Saturday, July 31 at 1 p.m. hosted by Debbie, daughter of a resident. We will bring a side dish to share and Debbie is grilling chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs! What a treat - come and enjoy!
