About Taylor Residences

When Samuel Clarence Taylor died in 1963, it marked the beginning of a mission dedicated to the shelter and well-being of aged citizens. Before his loving wife - Mrs. Fannie E. Taylor - died, she convinced her husband to leave virtually his entire estate to the Samuel C. Taylor Foundation. This foundation would provide housing and support services for succeeding generation of seniors.

For more than 40 years, the Taylor Foundation has provided quality housing and services for seniors. Today, these facilities provide housing and care for 700 residents, with a staff of 260 dedicated people. During the next 30 years, our aging population will require more care than ever before --- and Taylor Residences will continue its service mission as one of the First Coast's leading senior communities.

Taylor Residences offers a full spectrum of housing for seniors from apartments, assisted living to skilled nursing care.

Taylor Residences is sponsored by the Samuel C. Taylor Foundation, which was formed in 1963 by Samuel C. Taylor as a private, non-profit organization to develop housing and support services for older adults in their retirement years. The Board of Trustees is comprised of local Church of Christ members who voluntarily serve to ensure quality housing and services that respond to community needs.
